The printer uses felt pads at the bottom to collect waste ink. When the internal software estimates that these pads are saturated, it halts the machine to prevent ink from spilling inside. However, in many cases, the pads are not actually physically full, and the printer simply needs an internal, software-level reset. Printer shows an "E-11" error code on the LCD display. "Service Required" message appears on your computer screen. The red light (ink/paper) flashes consecutively.
