A highly compressed version runs flawlessly because the "skins" (backgrounds) compress extremely well. You get the full puzzle mode without the huge audio files.

Not at all. The entire point of these highly compressed games is that they’re designed to run on low-spec devices. If your phone can run basic apps, it can probably run these PSP games.
