Early in Underworld , Lara explores a sunken ruin in the Mediterranean Sea and encounters a giant Kraken. Rather than a traditional boss fight where Lara shoots the creature until its health bar empties, the Kraken is treated as an environmental puzzle. Lara must manipulate ancient machinery and heavy spikes hanging from the ceiling to drop onto the beast, showcasing her intellect as an archaeologist over raw firepower.
